GT Zaskar LE Team 1999

just started to restore my '99 Zaskar...almost perfect condition, just need to buy some "new" chainrings (Sh M952) - any ideas ?

full XTR, Syncros seatpost & headset , Modolo Crow stem & handlebar , Flite Ti, 2004 RockShox World Cup Carbon, fully new Conti SpKing & Tubolito

The rings are proprietary to the chainset (well outer is as has integrated spider). You can buy alternative spiders which will allow you to use any ring you like that's the same bcd as the spider (110 or 104 are the most common, but common isn't that common when looking to buy a spider).

Alternatively just look for the same rings as a replacement.

In either case you'll need a tool to remove the outer ring/spider.

Lovely bike btw, nicest zaskar paint job imho.

I’ve got a set of M952 chainrings for sale in 5 bolt if you source a spider.

The cheapest way is to look for some Shimano fc-m750 cranks and remove the spider from them, then normal set of triple rings (or a single) fit see pic


Garbaruk do a new single ring in the correct fitment too if you want to go 1x

I do have a full set of NOS chain rings (with integrated spider like the ones you have on yours) that I could be tempted to sell. I have a couple of chain sets with the 110 bcd spider so don't really need them as such, but also not desperate to sell as they are so hard to come by.
