I did have the advantage of having seen the bike yesterday at Bristol Bike Jumble so I know the condition etc (And before you ask why I didnt get it then, it was cold and my brain was frozen!)

Now this puts me in a quandary - rebuild to original componets or leave as is as it has some interesting parts on it (5 arm XT chainset and that front hub, to name but 2).

'97 LE spec was:
Component Group Shimano XTR 950
Forks Rock Shox Judy SL

Don't tell the retro police but I think I'll leave as is, except for the death-inducing brakes! Anyone got any XTR 950 brake levers and V brakes lying around?

Front hub is original spec but I would original spec the rest. Mind you it may be a frame only purchase new so it's really what you want on it as long as it's 1997.
