. I do have a Hurrycat Vorace fork but it's in shambles right now, got it off a french forum, the carbon steering tube de-laminated and the owner tried to fix it badly, now I have to re-place it properly.

That sounds terrible!! How are you going to go about replacing it?

Re:

I already sourced a 1 1/8" filament wound CF steering tube (proper US manufacturers no Chinese crap). Next I will need to press out the old aluminum insert from the Magnesium crown assembly. Make a new longer aluminum insert that's adjusted for the new ID of the new steering tube( this will offer me a much larger surface area for a stronger bond, the weak link of the original design). Then after I press in the new insert I will have to properly prep the surfaces for bonding (this step is critical for a proper bond). Then it's glue time. I will use a proper industrial strength adhesive (Hysol 9430), that's the industry standard for bonding aluminum to carbon fiber. Glue everything together in a proper alignment jig, then bake the part at 100 degrees overnight for proper cure. A ton of work...

I bought the frame but have now stepped back because I haven't heard from Max in two months. No payment sent so everything is fine with me. I just hope everything is all right with you, Max!
