GT Xizang for sale

Oh dear this is going south, but if you sell on a forum you must accept you may well sell to someone who may split to make a buck (note to any recent person I've brought off not me!)

I've bought bikes off here before now, and then split them to sell them. I always check with the seller that they're ok for me to do this and I pay them what they're asking for the bike (which in all honesty is probably about 10% higher than they expected to get for it).

If I'd seen this Xizang earlier, I'd have done exactly the same thing. I don't see any harm in it so long as honesty prevails throughout :)

Well I'm confused... first to Pm, agreed to pay the then price of £375 for the complete bike... this was superceded by some "helpful" RBer informing the new guy that it was worth more (thanks fella...)

Increased my bid (thought we didn't bid in the for sale section...) on the basis that I could see additional pics to my email before laying out the best part of five hundred quid...

Then arrive home from work to see the bike has sold to James and there is some upset about previous/current sellers.

Note to newbs...

State your terms clearly (dibbing etc)

If you don't know what something is worth post in the "How much is my xyz worth" thread.

Note to buyers.

Always beware the scammer - if my deal had gone through on this, it would have been a face to face deal carrying no cash (until I was totally happy the sale was genuine!)
