Dirt Disciple
Hi, I`ve made some progress with my Xizang project and I want to share with you people some images of the parts that I have acquired, so you can give some advice or ideas about the way I should follow with the making of this bike.
My first plan was to build a rigid single speed to save weight and money, but the guy who sold me the frame included a vintage xtr front dearrileur and when I saw it installed on the frame the image of the bike equiped with a full vintage xtr transmission came to my mind. Then I buyed an old "inside the box" xtr crankset and a week later I found a nice AC USA cnc crankset on the web but I cant get any info of that crank, so now I dont know what to do, go ahead with the xtr crank or buy the AC one?. I`ve also found a KORE aluminium stem that I will use untill I can get a titanium one to complete the titanium parts (I allready have titanium seat post, handlebar, bottle cage and quick releases).

LOVING the cranks in the first pic 8) . . . not loving the size of the rest of your pics.. my pc screen is sadly not 50" widescreen

I don't know enough about these things me ol' china. . .

The 1st pic cranks are very nice... but XTR kit is supposed to be ace too... can you not try both and see which looks better on the build?

you should use the AC, then for providing this info, give the xtr to me

all very nice

but... whats with the avenir bottle cage, shouldn't be on a gt, thats diamondback kit!

crank

I'm pretty sure that the cranks are not AC. Unfortunately, I've forgotten what they're called, they may be Bullet cranks?
