Finally I converted mi GT Tequesta FS to single speed. I'm not using a chain tensioner right know but I'm keeping an eye on the chain to be sure it's working OK. I'm very pleased with the result. However, there's still lot to do. I'll probably re spray it soon, and i'm also looking for a proper stem and saddle. Here in Argentina it's kind of hard to find retro parts and components are very expensive so it's going slow, but with patience it will be ready soon.
Current bike check is:
GT Tequesta (97/9
frame
Sars aluminium threadless fork
Purple anodized Rito flat handlebar
cheap stem
specialized grips
Tektro brake levers
Kalin bar ends
Diamondback saddle
Avid single digit 5 v-brakes (to be replaced by purple anodized tektro cantilevers)
LX cranks and chainring
odyssey black widow pedals
parallax hubs, even cheaper rims.
Today was a beautiful day here in Rosario so I decided to take the bike up the roof and take some photos.
Sorry for my poor english!
