Looks incredibly clean - lovely build.

How big is the big ring on that cassette? It's huge - you could ride up a wall with that. Back in the day you'd have had a smaller big ring up front! How things have changed.

Thanks, it's a 1x12 drivetrain, with a 10-51t cassette, it is big on a 26" wheel. I got the groupset for a good price, someone was swapping from Shimano to SRAM on a new bike.

I could be wrong but I think year 2000 or 2001. I think the two tone colour scheme is later than 1998/1999 but the "X" brace between the seat stays and drop out design earlier than 2002.

Thanks, yeah 2000 sounds about right thinking about it. I can't find a GT brochure from that year annoyingly.

No worries, good looking frames, and yours looks in good condition too. Know what you mean about catalogues, I was looking recently and I couldn't find anything post 1998.

1999 in Team Colour. The 98 GT race team Zaskars/Xizangs were that colour but for some reason the 99 'Team' models of those were just plain white. The Tempest and Outpost Trail both came in this colour in 99 (I have both !).
