GT TEMPEST 1995 SKIP RESCUE

hello im a newbie to this site and need some advice i was at the skip site last week and as i walked passed the scrap metal i saw this bike and seen it was a GT and thought your coming home with me !! who ever through it in needs a slap !
im a spray painter by trade so this is going to get retortion but there is a few parts missing the main being the right hand shifter shimano ACERA X DULE SIS is there any one out there in interweb land or is eaby my only hope :?

Nice skip find.

The frame is a good start so it would benefit from a few upgrades. Those shifters are not great so something l from the RB for sale section as a replacement?

Good find. When you respray it are you going to use a different colour or stick with the green? I rather like that green.

thanks for the reply iv all so got an old set of suntour forks off an old diamond back but the fork shaft look wider than wots on presently. iv not got loads of money to through at it so is there any way of making them fit. any advice is welcomed

thanks for the reply its staying green i like it its just scufft badly . it just need bringing back to life a bit iv emailed a guy who does decals £25 plus postage which is reasonable . if any one knows the colour code or name it would save me time ? thanks

for the time being, keep the fork as is. You've said you've not much money, and with that forks stem combo that's on, changing it for something more modern will result in having to replace more than just the forks
