No worries. It's typical though, I put you onto it as I didn't have a job. Today I got my old job back, albeit under new owners :roll:

Couple of pics of the STS from the seller. Hopefully I'll have it by Monday or Tuesday. This is the one I've been wanting and I plan to throw some cash on sourcing some bits and bobs in getting it looking like new again. The Bravado might have to go :cry:

I might just have what you are looking for. In-fact I think its more than you could have hoped for!

I have a GT Lobo DH which is in near perfect condition. I also have a brand new rear pivots rebuild kit (£130). Not only that but I also have a brand new Fox Deluxe pull shock (£250). Not that the pivots or shock on the bike need replacing. I found them on a wedsite in America several months ago so took the opportunity to get them as they are rarer than rocking horse sh#t.
The bike was a window display center piece in a bike shop for a couple of years. It had never been ridden other than outside the front of the shop by the shop owner. I also used to drool over it every time I visited the shop until one day I could afford it so I managed to get it for £4200. A couple of weeks later we had the Foot and Mouth outbreak, so that was that for that year. By the time we could get bake out there I just didn't have the spare time I used to so only got out about half a dozen times that year. Then I had an operation on my spine so no more DH for me . That was 3 and a half years ago now and the bike has been dry stored in a heated garage ever since. I just couldn't bring myself to sell it, I just stand and stare at it every time I see it. It really is a piece of art. I just can't look at it enough!

Anyway, the time has come for me to give someone else the opportunity to own such a rare and iconic bike.

I haven't any picture at the moment but will get some taken this week and post them.

Are those L&M cranks on the STS? They used to be made down the road from me at Long & Marshall engineering (also made RC car bits I think). Might be worth checking the webs on the back of the arms for cracks, they eventually changed to a channel on the back of the arm.
