GT STS-DH- years made?

How many years was the STS DH manufactured? I heard it was only in 1997?
Is this correct or were there a few years?

I may be wrong but I thought it was 97 also , as then the Lobo took its place

It is listed in both the 1997 and 1998 catalogues.
The existed in 1996 (well obvioulsy as they had to be made to sell in 97) and Mike King rode on at Cairns Worlds (or at least some prototype thereoff, Nico didn't He rode te normal aluminium version).
It was replaced..or one upped by the Lobo in 98, that became the I'm a badass DH'er...where the STS-DH became the I like DH but can't affort the top one...

I recall it being available as a full bike in 97 then frame only in 98.

97 catalogue shows the STS-DH as both frame set, or as full bike with the smae decals, sort of grey or white or something.
Frameset was Frame, Rock shox DHO, crank, stem, bars, post and chain keeper
98 catgaluge list the full bike with the same decals as 97 and then the frameset with red decals. Frameset was jsut the frame and chain keeper.
