0607DIf you can read the frame number on the bottom bracket shell then that will give more clues as to the ID.

That’s what’s stamped on the bb shell

Thank you. I don't have many serials that late so although the model may well be identfiable I don't have enough data to tell.0607D

Haha, not yet. ( I tend to remove the headset before spraying
I agree, my guess would be a ‘98 Timberline or KarakoramThank you. I don't have many serials that late so although the model may well be identfiable I don't have enough data to tell.
Made in Fairly factory 1998 - I guess May but @sam_white should be able to confirm that the 05 means that. If so, either a late 1998 model or an early 1999 model.
I agree with jonnyboy that it looks at least mid-ranged, based on the seatclamp which is different from the lower models and the single eylet on the dropouts. Karkoram/Timberline (no Tequesta by that point, right?) would be my best guess at the moment.
Tequesta's were still around until '99 as I had one of that year. This frame looks similar to my Tequesta. The Timberline of that period was made with mostly plain gauge 4130 (possibly a butted seat tube) tubes where as the Tequesta/Karakoram were the same frame with Reynolds 525 double butted mainframe tubes and different spec levels and colours.Thank you.
