so what was the difference between the 2000 ds and the 3000ds as this looks exactly how my 3000ds came including spec.
that rear shock looks mad lol

I too would like to know the difference between a GT LTS 2000 DX and 3000DX.

think it was the spec on the bike tbh which made it better the ie the 1000ds was the top spec

strange, the lts2000 was white (well mine was) and the lts3000 was red, this one was listed as lts2000 but looks painted as a 3000 but i can't see the full sticker.

that said spec wise the differences were

lts2000 dual sport was rockshox coupe deluxe shock (preload and rebound)
rock shox triple clamp long travel forks
LX based groupset with xt rear mech

the lts 3000 dual sport was rst high5 triple clamp forks
standard rockshox deluxe shock, preload only
stx-rc based groupset

all that is going from memory though

each model also had an XC version, the 3000 had indy forks and a flat bar and the 2000 got bombers and a flat bar other than that the specs were the same as above

ive got a red 3000 ds
and my mates got a red 2000 ds

well the frames were the same on the 2000/3000 the 1000 was better tubing up front and had a more machined and polished rear end if memory serves.

weird about the colour though, i know the xc/ds models had different colours, seem to remember the 3000ds was red and the 3000xc was dark blue

that's a 1999 lts, built in usa, I think these were spare frames, that gt wanted to get rid of because of the newer xcr full sus frames. whereas the 1998 was a taiwanese frame I believe

been digging a bit

got some pics of what i remember selling as 1998 models

the 2000 xc is white, the 2000 ds is red, the 3000xc is blue and the 3000 ds is red. i didn't remember the 2000ds being red but then i think we sold more of the 3000 and mostly 2000's in the xc version but with changes.
