Would anyone know the year on this bike I was told it was early 90's but I would like to know the exact year.

i have a frame very similar to that,cant be 100% sure but think 1991 or 1992?

It's a bit earlier than that. Possibly a 1990 but the decals don't look quite right when compared to the 1990 catalogue here: --> http://www.retrobike.co.uk/gallery2/v/M ... 0.pdf.html

Could be an 89 but I have no point of reference.

I think 91. They went to the Groove Tube rear brake cable routing in 92.

The K2 wasn't offered in 1991 though. There was the Karakoram and the Karakoram Elite. The latter of which I have.

Definitely think that it's a 1990 model or slightly earlier.
The seatclamp suggests Tequesta to me too rather than Karakoram.

Judging from the style of the decals it is a 1989 or 1988 bike.

Edit: according to some GT-wizz in the German forum, the K2 wasn't available until 1989. So I am pretty sure that your bike is 1989. The Karakoram K2 1990 had different decals, 1990 style (edges).

Thanks everyone on this forum. I really appreciate your help
in the year of this bike. I had a feeling that it was late 80's or early 90's
but it seems from someone here that it is an 1989 model due to the decals.
I bought this bike for $100.00 just loved the look of the bike.
