Sorry mate but their are far better Gt experts on here than your local bike shop and that is not an 18" GT.

GT measure their frames from the centre of the bottom bracket to the centre of the top tube. NOT to the top of the seat tube.

So in GT speak it's a 16" I have exactly the same frame from the same year (just different colour way)

Not really sure why your getting the hump about it to be honest. :facepalm:
