Have recently acquired a 1998 56cm GT EDGE Titanium complete bike but am willing to sell the frame/fork or complete bike. GT only offered the Edge Ti as a complete bike in 1994 and 1998. In 95-7 and 99 it was offered as a frame set only in GT Tech Shop program/catalog.

GT Edge Titanium Frame 3Al/2.5V Sandvik tubing, Edge Carbon fork
Full 7400 Dura Ace 9 Speed STI including the headset and hubs
Profile Bars, Syncros stem. Thomsen Elite Post, Mavic Open Pro wheels w/Conti grand Prix tires, Speedplay pedals.

This bike has less than 250 miles on it's original drive train. Zero...no scratches on the shifters or derailleurs a tad bit of shoe rub on the drive side crank arm. Check out the pictures. More pics available. PM me and I'll send them.

Original retail when new US$3773 check it out at http://www.bikepedia.com/QuickBike/Bike ... &Type=bike

Complete bike weight 17lbs 6oz as built.
Frame Fork and headset US$1000
Complete Bike US$1800

PM me with questions. You guys that are missing a GT road bike in your quiver...here it is. I have one of these myself and it's a 58 and like my Xizang it has a spot in my coffin.

I too followed that auction...the one that closed at 880. Let's remember that bike had a reported 4000 miles on it and it looked like that many or more. I asked lots of questions on that one and it wasn't the sellers bike so I was told that 4000 miles was a guess and knowing that particular seller commonly sells bikes for sponsored riders makes me think it had a lot more than 4000 miles on it. Look at the pictures of mine and if you want to see more I'll be happy to send more pictures this bike is MINT and perfect and has less than 250 original miles. My forum nick is my eBay nick (403 feedback at 100%) and I've shipped over 80 GT frames and bikes in the last year and a half with about 90 percent shipped to Europe. I've also shipped a number of bikes and parts for Retrobike members as a third party shipper. Many members of retrobike have purchased frames and bikes from me in fact some have purchased both road and mountain from me in the last year.

Guess you got a deal on yours was it odd size, a BIN, porrly listed, weekday ending? What size was it? We all know that 56's and 58's go the highest....The reason I asked is because I sold a MINT 58cm GT Forte' Ti (import) frame only less than a month ago on eBay for US$1,000 on a BIN. The guy from France that bought that had also purchased a Xizang frame from me three months earlier. The majority that I sell are mint and low miles. I also have the US eBay sale$ records on used GT Lightning's at $876 and Xizang's at $1004 for the frame only. Have not had a negative comment on the 80 plus that I've sold. Decay can you match that? One of these might only be worth $411 to you Decay but I can honestly tell you that the market price for GT Ti frames and bikes is way higher than you think. Have you bought and resold 18 Xizang's and Lightnings along with a dozen Edge and Forte Ti road bikes? When you do you will understand. Congrats on your great deal. Want to sell yours?
