GT Bravado (HardTail), Ltd Ed Comp Series (1992)

Bravado

Retro Newbie
I bought this bravado from carrati sport Uk, in 1995. My friend Darren worked for carrati import, after the london Olympia stadium show, where hans rey rode this bike in a high jumps display. Darren bought the 2no Bravado's specially sent in to carrati for hans's display. Couple years later he sold one on the original yellow hans Bravado's to me for 800.

I rode it occasionally during summer, from 95 to late 96. When i went to UNI......... i have not used it much since. have kept it indoors !! in the house !! for the following 21yrs. This year is the 25th anniversary of the Bravado. It is in A1 condition, all decals mint, still with original 2.7 tyres, cow bars, gel sadle, all as it was sent in, inc girvin sus headset. Silver "D" brake to rear........ can post in Uk via shiply.com 100mile 40 quid.

This is a limited edition GT, Competition series, built for hans rey team GT. Olympia demo day. is including the comp series "Groove Tube"....

I am looking for 580ono (Not Inc P&P) ring nigel on 07925502128.. bike is in andover hampshire england

A collectors item, Team GT comp series made by Garry turner himself... before he passed away.... and it all went to china, post court case. A rare original

Re:

Dude... You've got it all wrong... This is as stock as it can be aside from the stem and maybe something else. Nothing special about it, worth about half your price.
And please oh please don't bury Gary Turner yet! He's alive alright and still building bikes! 8)

Guessing he meant GT co-founder Richard Long?

Pretty much agree on the price being way over — unless there’s some serious provenance. Like a photo of Hans Rey Holding the bike and showing off the frame number!

Re:

Thanks for all the input guys.... appreciated. Quite rare for a stock bike though yea ??... as they where 1.1k back in 92 ? all up spec ?....

Price drop then to 450, or something near that zone (448) !. For a 25yr old GT, its in super condition, the "D" brake, when standing on rear wheel, is immense..... in conjunction with the rapid fire shim set.....

You mean the 'U' Brake ? :D

Top conditions '90's GT's like this one, I'd never see get above £200-300 really (short of being a good early condition zaskar) but good luck with the sale. The problem is its lacking the original studded saddle and GT eliptical colour matched stem. Without those, it isn't stock and it'll lack credibility (I seriously doubt Hans Rey would have ridden one with a flexstem).

Think you’ll have better luck on eBay as I think you’ll be hard pushed selling it at that price on RB!
