GT Avalanche Frame set, 1992

Strange one that...
'92 was True Temper not Tange.
Also, the '92 Aval was painted with the splatter paint (Daktari White) not the zebra effect used here (that was used on the '92 Timberline).
The Stem seems correct though (check the paint on the underside which is splattered).
The decals are from '92.
The frame doesn't seem to have the replaceable mech hanger that the '92 frames had...
All in all I'm a bit confused...
Maybe a run-over model with '91 frame using '92 decals and parts...?

Can someone confirm the size on this for me please (can't remember how GT s are measured) is it an 18" or a 20"? Might have a go if 18"

It's an 18", there would be an 1-1/2" gap between the top tube and down tube if it were a 20". Replaceable hangers started in 1992 like my yellow Team Avalanche.
