so we live in a maisonette, that we own privately, but the leasehold is with the local council. the maisonette below us is council owned. recently in our area the council has been fitting solar panels to all of their properties. in jan we received a letter telling us that as we are leasehold, and that they have run out of funding, we wont be getting the panels fitted. fair enough we thought. three weeks ago, the misses gets home to find people putting up scaffolding at the front of our house. so she phones the council to say wtf is going on!? they say they are fitting solar panels. she asks whether we will get use of them. we get told no. we ask why weren't we informed about them coming? they say we should of got a letter. we didn't. they send a contractor round who says "you should of got a letter, we have nothing to do with any of it, we just fit em where we are told to". chocolate teapot. we ask if they will compensate us for the devaluation of our property? nothing. we wait a bit longer. we get told the scaffolding should be down soon. we wait a bit longer. nothing. now getting royally pissed as scaffolding is cutting our light to the front of the house, and is a security and privacy risk. phone council again. get told the contractor gave us a letter explaining the situation. did we eck as like. get told they will contact us by the end of the day with a resolution. hmmmm its 7pm. now what would you do? may call a local scrappy and tell him to come and collect the poles as they have been dumped
