Groupset options for Peugeot Competition 500?

10 is different to 7/8/9 on MTB, on road it is the same shifting pull per click as 7/8/9 apart from the latest 10 speed Tiagra, which uses the same shift ratios as 11.

Well my ideas have got me in trouble again. The Planet X sale got me thinking of options to build a new bike mostly for commuting but I've ended up with a frameset a bit too nice for it! A 631/525 Audax that's basically a Hewitt Chiltern. So some bits are going on it from the road bits hoard. Slight twist. Going 9 speed using the decent 11 to 32 SRAM cassette I have, and Sora 3500 shifters. I won a Tiagra 4601 mech cheap by accident but after an initial worry it might well work...
The shifters are triple but the tiagra crankset is double.
I'll need deep drop calipers and some black compact bars and a Gatorskin so the spend isn't over yet.

It'll still have almost everything but wheels and cranks for the Peugeot so could still build that with slighty more period bits. Oops!
