This frame is a really rare Grisley Nimbus Comp. It all polishes up very nicely and the colour doesn't look to have faded at all! Measures 17" from centre BB to top of seat tube. 21" top tube centre to centre. Shock mounting hardware is present, takes a 165x38mm shock.
The reason this bike is listed as "spares or repairs" is that when cleaning it up I found that the weld around the front of the right-hand chainstay has cracked. I have shown this in the photos. It isn't something one sees without getting really close up,however I would advise the bike is not to be ridden without this part being re-welded. As such, this would be a wonderful project for someone who either knows their Grisley history and would like an example of this bike to restore and display or has the know-how to make the repair and turn it again into the wonderful era mountain bike it once was. There are a few areas with paint chips and cable rub wear showing.
