Retro Newbie
Greetings All,

I have been looking for somewhere to talk about retro bikes, and I am glad that I found this place.

I live in Florida, USA, and my current mount is a 199? GT RTS. I picked up the bike used back in 96 for a steal and rode it about to death. Then the old girl sat for too many years during my numerous back operations. Now I have decided that it is time to get back on the horse and lose some of the weight that has packed on over the years.

I have done a bit of upgrading to the GT including disc brakes front and rear, and some years ago, I replaced the standard forks (Rock Shock 10s) for a set that had lots of travel (for 97), some Judy SLs. I am currently waiting for the big brown truck to drop off a new wheelset so I can get the rear disc setup installed.

Once I get her all put together, I will post some pics just to show off my way cool Scott clip ons.

Thanks for having some great information available even for a Yank like me.

Ron
