Lots of great films with great music ...

... but not that many with a great film soundtrack.

The wizard of Oz
Taxi Driver
Blade runner
Chariots of fire
The Graduate

and most Clint Eastwood films.

Damn right!
I was working in a cinema at the time and must have seen that film a couple of dozen times.
Still makes my hackles rise!

Bizarrely enough Sub...Taxi driver was the B film to this back in the day (studio's Oxford Rd.....a good £2's worth)

Not the best of films but he pulled it up with his soundtrack

Great job! I was on a cut of the kiosk sales one Easter, and in those days nowhere, not corner shops, supermarkets, petrol stations, were open on Good Friday, Sunday or Monday. The only place to get fags was the cinema. I made a couple of months pay in one weekend.

Lemon popsicle and Taxi driver...it was certainly a very transitional period  , remember them long slow Sundays and bank holidays, specially being forever skint. I come home from the studios after necking the gob off a fit punkette(all afternoon) to have me mad mam leather me with a metal dog lead for wagging church (r kid grassed)....nowadays i'd be able to put a claim in. An ever changing world.
