Was out on an pretty epic ride yesterday to a forest I've not visited in the last year. Because it's a "working" forest - several of the trails had been moved/altered (some for the better, others not). I love it when this happens though - as you never quite know what you're going to get until you get there,

I agree. Our local spot is a working forest and when they fell a plantation it makes a big mess of the fireroads. It does however create new trials, old favourites are lost but new ones evolve. Whenever felling is done there is uproar from the local riders but I see it as a new beginning.

same here frittons now almost finished a felling and ow my god the potental and new trails ive found/built are cracking  8) 8) reckiborter will testify to that i hope :D :D

Just one more reason why we need to keep these in the public domain. Once the private owners get hold of them they will restrict access or charge money for it.

I don't know why anyone would moan about the FC doing what they are charged to do. If we want forests that are viable we need to accept felling. Personally I would be glad to see many more commercial forests being turned into leisure parks, and replanted sympathetically as nature reserves.
