I think I mentioned this on the ride at the weekend but if anyone is interested it's a cross country race on 5th November with an open/retro category. Few more details on their website,

Few more details from an email I got sent,

You can expect a classic XC course at the venue where it all began for us, with full facilities, great trophies plus spot prizes from Gorrick’s sponsors and supporters. Pre-entry is open now here but there will be entry on the day as is usual at an XC event.

Some riders have said they’d like to ride a retro bike for the event, so if you’re one of them please enter the Open race at 12.30 and you’ll start just after they start.

Please check our our facebook page as we approach the event for any updates.

Yeah, weather looks ok so think I'll rock up and enter on the day, going for the open / retro category. Not sure how much racing I'll be doing but always nice to ride somewhere different even if I cruise around at the back of the field!

Re:

A few nice retro machines at this event. Unfortunately only 9 enetered the retro category and I came 7th which wasn't too good, even the under 13's girls did a faster lap time than me! Course was good though if a bit short, so short in fact that I went over to Swinley afterwards and had a ride round there.

Re:

Hey, nice one Tim, good to see some Retro bikes there. I raced my modern(ish) singlespeed in the very popular vets category. Tough day out but fun little course.

Thinking about doing the 2x Gorrick classics in Feb. Anyone else going?

Bryan

Hi Bryan

I can't do the ones in Feb but might possibly be up for the one they're doing in March, although going on my performance at this one it might not be a good idea!
