Google street view 3D?

So the new 3D view in Google maps, does it work, I don't have the glasses, or is in an April fools joke?

Not sure yet of the 3D (I'll keep looking) but here's a round up of some of yesterday's more interesting April fool's announcements

I mean when I go to my local area, there is an icon of a man with red&blue sunglasses on to switch to 3D mode, which puts red lines on the picture and makes it blurry. I haven't got 3D glasses to check, just wanted to know Google put it there as a joke or not?

I've got some red/green 3D glasses and I just tried it. It does work but its pants.

Tried it too, the 3D effect is not good
