What! no more re-badged Vectras!! :shock:

I think Saab as an entity died when GM took over. I feel sorry for the job losses at Saab and the hundreds of smaller interdependant companies associated with the Brand.

Sometimes it's the smaller specialist component makers that loose the most.And once these skilled jobs are gone they never come back.

Scania dont want them back then...

They have been making outdated tut based on someone elses floorpan since the mid 90s (courtesy of GM), bound to catch up with them at some point.

Real shame but saab left us in 1989 when GM started buying it...

Oh poo, I liked Saab....until they got sh@gged by GM. Almost as bad as what happened to Triumph. Bugger.

the 9000/ 9-5 is based on an '80's Fiat/Alfa/Lancia

their 2.0 16v engine was a reworked Triumph engine


does that really matter? No but pre Cavalier 900's are my favourite and its a shame they are going.

And Spyker did too, well wouldn't complete quick enough to save them anyway. The Chinese will step in I reckon to rescue the brand.
