Goodbye Saab...

Sad news indeed, but as mentioned above, unfortunately not entirely surprising.
My only experience of Saab dealers may go to explain something - We were thinking about getting a new company car and Saab were on the list so we went to Frosts in Shoreham, expressed an interest in the Saabs they have there ( it's in a separate showroom bit that's locked!?!?!?!) we were then left standing there for 20 mins, gave up and left!!! We were the only people in the showroom and there were a few other members of staff there, all ignoring us too!!! First impressions last....

Shame. If done properly they would have been the major player in the segment of people who have both money and taste, like there are in Europe and some parts of the US.
Now car industry definately turns it back to them, at the same time I think many of them will turn back to the car industry the upcoming decade. In the 50s cars stood for 'freedom', in the upcoming decade it will be 'guilt'.

The models of the last two decades will, like quite all generic nowadays cars, gradually disappear from our streets and not be missed. Cars like this 900 will remain, keeping the good that SAAB brought us alive and strenghtening our love and appreciation again.
