Just finished the last service on my old piece of sh1t GT
It's given me the best part of 10 years faithful service on my daily commute and the occasional hack along the local trails. Now I'm handing it over to my sister who will be abusing it over the south downs at the weekends
Actually I say faithful service , what I mean is the BB seizing on me, the forks needing replacement after only 3 weeks, the complete drivetrain turning out to be a worn out pile of tud, the wheels popping spokes on a daily basis before I replaced them completely....... You know the score, once sorted it gave me no grief but you are looking at the original frame, stem, seatpost, vees and that's about it!
Anyways........ My sister is now getting a fully sorted if a bit cheap retro ride for nowt, so I hope she enjoys it lol!
This is the bit I'll miss the most. I bought this DKG booster in '91 for the fragile Marin rock stars I was running at the time. It is still as strong as an ox 21 years later
