it has vector 2 on the stem.

Must have been sold just before they made a separate mount. Usually the Vector 2 has a separate mount.

The give away is that the stem is alloy - vector 1s had a steel stem. Wasn't the seperate clamp at the same time as the ODS damper?

Ah, right you are.

The Vector 2 could be had with the friction damper as well. I recall the carbon vector 2 came with friction dampers only.

my mistake. i just always thought vector 1's had that integrated stem unit and then vector 2's had the seperate stem and weird 1/18" to 1" tapered steerer tube.

Seller isn't quite clued up either. I've been trying to get hold of him to find out if the elastomer has had it and after a week he replies.

"Er, I'm not a mountainbiker so I wouldn't know. It doesn't seem to be cracking like plastic does..."


How about giving it a bounce for starters eh?
