Gino Milano Restored

Hi,

I just restored a Gino Milani from 1983/84. Built from Columbus SL Tubes. Milani was the Father in Law of the famous and recently passed Dario Pegoretti. Dario did tell me he built this frame and said that it was a special order\built for a friend, Dario said no more than 20 exist due the quatrofoil/4 leaf clover cut-outs on the bottom bracket shell. Built with period correct Campagnolo SR/NR parts. Has taken over a year to restore as I had a friend Ian Da Costa recreate the decals for me and repaint it. Enjoy!

Milani was a contract builder who built for many top companies like Pinarello, Colnago etc.

An amazing restoration which inspires me to attempt similar for my well used Milani. It has four-leaf and ‘M’ on some of the same lugs as your pictures. Do you know if there are other identification markings, frame number etc that I should first establish if it was the correct vintage / build. I ask since the paint finish doesn’t give me a clue and any original decals appear to have been overpainted along the way ? Any help will be greatly appreciated.
