When someone sends you a payment, how do you tell whether is gift or goods?
I have wondered this on a few transactions now.

They look both the same to me (from what i have been told they sent) but i am known for missing the blindingly obvious.

Where would i see this?

Would they email it to me?

Latest one i had which he says by gift (no reason to think otherwise) says payment type - instant.

only things i can see that might differentiate are- gift total amount shows as the amount i received, goods amount showed as a higher amount which included the fees

Yeah maybe your right.

That cant be the only way though surely, i mean what if they cover fee's so you get bang on the amount?

Just looked at 2 payments I've received, 1 was gift, 1 was a payment for an ebay item.
The gift has a fee amount of £0.00, the ebay item payment has the amount of fees paid (i.e. a number greater than zero)

other thing is the goods had a delivery address, gift address was added in notes

and same as above ref fees, gift was £0 goods had an amount
