The synth work reminds me of just how versatile Zep were, and Page made the drums sound enormous as always.

Versatile indeed, Jimmy Page playing drums as well as playing guitar.......

As for Jon Bonham - well, he used big drums anyway.

Like Phil Collins. "How do you achieve that big drum sound Phil?"

I always thought Phil achieved his sound by being run of the mill.

You can have the greatest technique in the world, but it don't mean a thing if does not survive the studio.

Page ensured that Bonham's sound was recorded and mixed sympathetically, the recording process was very much Page's domain.

It is the technique Page pioneered (evolved) in recording drums that wound up with Bonham being so widely sampled.

That, and John's astoundingly light to shade bombastic to impossibly subtle range.

One helluva drummer.
