Ohhhh! Off the wall 70's touring frame by not an often seen builder of tourer's.... Cliff Shrubb, Wally Green?

Shaun

Keep guessing, and be patient Shaun!

Image on RBotM thread soon as I can.

J.

p.s it's currently in build so bare - newly painted - frame only for now, I'll detail the build when I post though.

Re:

Should have this Geoffrey Butler in my hands by Friday, I may put up a build thread if there's any interest. Well done to the winner though, my bikes are all too left field I think.

Rk.

I for one would like to see the build thread for this and the Philbrook. It certainly got my vote for the RBotM ;)
So please I am always interested in reading about your builds.

Thanks Jamie,

appreciated. The seller advised the GB should be here Friday, and I'm just about to finish cleaning the parts for the Philbrook before making a start.

Cheers, Jon.

Geoffrey Butler frameset.

The Geoffrey Butler frameset has now arrived (thanks Dave, aka Fossala) at Rk Towers from Cornwall. Sadly the seatpost is seized (I was aware so no issue with Dave) but I'll need to approach it's freeing up carefully.

I am confident, having it in my possession now, that I might know who built it. I am currently seeking advice from a couple of pals who'll confirm which of the two builders it is - I'll add that is is very nicely built, shorelines, brazing are all superbly executed - although it hasn't led a charmed life: no damage at all but filthy with small amount of surface rust.

I'll post once I'm sure of the builder.

Cheers, Rk.
