Does this resemble an early 80s 3ttt stem - or is it the product of a micro engraving pen?

To me it doen't look quite right - any views?

The generation after the 3ttt stem with the sticker which aped the cinelli was stamped IIRC.

Ambrosio, i.e. 3ttt, were somewhat lax when it came to quality control, particularly the older parts. I have, or rather had, a 3ttt stem stamped "Made in Jtaly"

Re:

I have just fitted one of these to one of my bikes. The quality looks pretty good apart from the stamped logo which is very much like this! I think that's just what they're like.

That's the real thing, they do look a bit amateurish but it's how they come.

I'd say its genuine!

Thanks - any idea of period, i.e. late 70s, early or mid 80s or.....?

and to Ian, as irony would have it, the awful Modolo stem on my rBoTM April entry fractured after 26 years so it currently is looking like a Cinelli XA replacement stem instead but the awful Modolo anatomic bend bars will stay

Cheers
