Gear hanger alignment

Hi folks,

Was wondering how to check this, as I have a mech cage that touches the spokes in first gear.
I think I may have 1mm or so to move the cassette across the freehub body otherwise.
Also, how can I adjust it if it is out, without a special tool, LBS?

Crouch down behind ,oo er misses, and see if the cage is vertical. Screw in a m10 x 1 bolt (axle) and see if it pokes out straight from the hanger..

Aside from that its a trip to the LBS to check alignment with the proper tools.
