I'm off on me 'olidays to Paris in a couple of weeks.

Anyone know of any 'must see' places other than the obvious stuff?

al. :D

if you want a cheap view without going up La Tour, there is a secret little rooftop cafe in Au Printemps department store (the one the closest to the river). Might be a bit parky this time of year though

Jim Morrison (and other more important historical figures) grave in Pere Lachaise cemetary.

In 1993, I left my footprint in some wet concrete in front of the Eiffel Tower on the pavement that runs along the 'Avenue Gustave Eiffel'. I was wearing a pair of size 9 Doc Martens. That might be something nice for you to look out for.

Rodin Museum is good.............if ye want a trek, you could walk from Arc de Triomph up to la Defense. Buy some flick knives and bangers on the way!

Metro pass is a good idea too for getting about.

Jim got moved back to the USA a few years back. So don't look for him. But Oscar Wilde, Victor Hugo, plenty of others still make it worth a visit.

The imax at le defense was good. Image projected onto a domed roof.
Versailles a must if youre into that sorta stuff
didnt do the Louvre - horrendous queues with a 3 hour wait meant we had betta things to do
champs eleyses and arc are a must, just to appreciate the final tour stage - a nice walk from place de la concorde
good view of city from sacre coueur

If you look close enough you can just about see the Holy Grail underneath the glass pyramid in the Louvre.

Personally, I really enjoyed Le Pompidou. Brilliant (British designed) building.

Cheers chaps. :D

I'll probably just sit in various caf's stuffing my fat face with pastries and coffee. Just like staying at home, but being served by rude French people!!
