Gate riders!

(Hello! I'm new btw)

Does anyone else on here ride large framed bikes? I currently ride a customised Voodoo Wanga 21" but as I'm 6' 5" even this is a tad on the small size.

What I would really love is to get hold of a 90s Hei Hei 22" but these appear to be rarer than rocking horse doo doo. In fact does anyone know if they were even produced for every year in that size during the 90s?

I'd also be interested to see some picks of your own large frame bikes (genuine rather than comedy please)

Contact orange71, Ed, on here. He's 6'+ and rides gates, and has an impressive list of bikes from full suspension through to rigid single speeds.

that'll be me :D will post up some pics later (PM me to remind me if I forget). All mine are a min of 20". Best fit is my 22" Mystery Ti frame. I'm 6' 3" with a 35" inside leg.

I think agency_scum is tall too. See if you can find a pic of his Bob Jackson gate.

here it is:

In the end I did what all sensible giraffes do and bought a 22" 29er...

I'm retro fitting it ( sic ) with a 7 speed drivetrain at the mo with XTR bits and bobs.....great fun!

Funny how differant people fit differant bikes, i'm 6'4"(and a half) with a 35" inside leg and long arms, but include 18" and 19" frames in my stable.

I'll be honest and admit that the 20" Konas are the most comfortable fit, but for fast, fun riding, you can't beat a small frame. My 18" Orange Patriot was a riot. One day i'll buy a 5 to replace her :)

Yep I have long arms and legs! A smaller frame isn't such a big deal when you are off-road as you are out of your seat a lot and you don't necessarily want a straight leg on your pedals in case you are on a ridge and need to put you foot down. I did have a Pahoehoe 19" which wasn't too bad but I'm currently doing a 10mile commute and am in the saddle a lot so a smaller frame really kills my back.

I like the way you cleverly found the biggest gate in the world to picture your 'Mystery Ti' beside, in order to make it look normal!
