Funk Pro Comp on eBay

Well I did start and had a cheeky bid so am pretty gutted, however top marks to bdavis999 though for complete honesty and doing the right thing, the pic's you've provided are great too, so does anybody know how and why this would happen given that the BB was in there fine and only to just a few threads?

I'd alreadt been looking at some of jonrock's work, colour examples for Funk's and drawing up lists of what needs to go and what i'd need to finish a build

I would bet that at some point someone cross threaded the BB. It usually happens with the first threads. If you aren't careful and thread the BB in crooked or if you don't use the proper lube/anti-seize. If it were my size, I would feel comfortable buying it, since the owner assured us that they got a Shimano BB in and were able to tighten it properly.

Hmm Doesn't sound too bad but I'd want a Ti BB in that really and wouldn't want to keep changing it if one is in and working. I really don't want it to put me off buying it either so I think it'll be down to getting a for sale thread up here tomorrow and getting rid of a few things.

Anybody know what the shortest Ringle stems are as being a 23" TT i'd need probably a 100-110mm at max?

Thanks for the help on the BB issue ez054098, you've put my mind at rest a little more than it was and then some.
