Jut bought Dr's FUNK frame and Im looking for ideas on components. Also Im not sure whether to paint it or leave it polished. I thought about doing it like the Rober9ts DOGS BOLX white/black.

Your opinions please!

My Funk is polished and I love it like that. I use medium fine steel wool and soapy water and it looks like chrome! Then I coat it with car wax, which is good for several months, and repeat the process, which takes about an hour each time.

I thought it looked great polished 8) as for components the FUNK is a little bit leftfield and I would build accordingly, american CNC rarities maybe. Dr's build was superb but you probably want to set it out as your own, if it lacked something I thought it was maybe a little colour. I had considered a patriot(red and blue) build for a future project and think this would look good with the polished frame. Sometimes though you need everything in front of you to decide.

Funk

I'll keep the frame polished then. I like the sound of the red and blue bits. Guess Ill see how I go when it gets here

Take your time and work out what inspires you. Hopefully my one of these will arrive this week and while I have a million ideas, I am not going to decide until it turns up. Personally, polished leaves me cold, but I do appreciate how other people like them. I love Andy.l's funk build on here - individual and stunning.

Suppose the choice is replicate Dr S's stunning creation or go your own way. Totally up to you, no-one else can tell you what will make you smile at the end of the day, you will never please us all!

Enjoy the planning process, I know I am!

Take your cues from the frame. The tubes are really fat so the stem, tires ect has to balance visually. The rear drop out has those huge holes.....circles say Ringle.....remember Rody's paint job with the circles?
Also find the Ti-Funk-Mango build going on in readers bike.
