Full suspension frame for XC

Hi all, having had my KHS set up as an all-round beast I now find that the addition of the Langster has relegated it to off-road use only so I'm thinking of swapping all the parts over to a full sus frame. Basically I'm after something for mostly XC use, preferably with v-brake mounts as my favourite wheels are non-disc. I'll consider most things, and yes I was very upset that I missed out on the Y22 that went for £100 on the bay!!

what size do you need? i have a rather large marin that may be for sale. need to see if my dad gets on with it first though

Oops! That would be useful info wouldn't it! The KHS is a 19" which is fine for me, I'm 6ft tall, so anything around that sort of size should be cool. What sort of Marin? I've seen a couple of their quad link ones that I like the look of.

it is an onder single pivot one. it is 19". not sure of model as it only has marin decal on. it has steel tubular rear end but 6061 front end. assume it's a decent bike but with an early back end

Sounds interesting..

Actually looking at your signature you might be able to help with another issue I've got; not long ago I purchased a KHS Montana Crest that I've not been able to find out much about. It's got a blue and white paint job with white stars on it, not hugely dissimilar to the Kona stars and bars paint job, kitted out with Altus A20 and C10 components. I don't suppose you'd know anything about these? I bought it as I love my KHS and wanted another to keep in Devon but I have no idea what year it's from. It has the original KHS quill stem, saddle, tires (barely used) and is a butted cromoly frame.

If you click the link for the Balance down in my sig,
it need some work to free the rear end, but if you want something original and scarce.
the current owner has it up for sale at £50.00!! I think!

that is correct. it is a great bike. i am basically charging for the bar/stem combo so if you want the frame only it could be £20 posted. it is fairly small though but definately needs a better home than my shed

Thinking of selling my Superlight, which is super-nice - sorry ;)
