Full sus ideas

Us rigid riders are only as hardy as our sore wrists and glass backs allow

Remember unpopular means cheaper . I rode a carerra banshee not long ago briefly and it was remarkably bike like

I wonder how a stinky would do set up for more xc type stuff .

I tried a stinky a few years ago when i got back into biking. It was far too sit up and beg for my liking and the back end bobbed a lot. To be fair though i gave no thought into the rear shock other than winding the spring tension to the max.

I do wonder how well a lot of older frames would ride with new shocks in them , what with their air damping , lockouts and whot not .

ride all the rest then go buy yourself an FSR cheap off the bay, I've had my current one 6 years now and not once have i had to replace/overhaul any of the suspension on it. I covered over 1500 miles off road on it last year alone trouble free, and believe me when i say it, maintenance is a seldom used word for me.
Get yourself a good frame with nice tight bushes and you wont look back 8)

Marin mount vision should fit the bill nicely. :D

Who the hell would rate a specialized fsr?

I DRIVE!!! hes right!

Good suggestion and a bike that is easy to forget . I remember when they came out I wondered how well the eye drive would stand the test of time but they seem to last and the people that own them rate them highly .

Dont know if in the budget , Enduro 2003 model was a really nice bike
