FS: Retro Kona hack + a few modern bits

haribo

Old School Hero
Kona Fire Mountain, think this is a '93? Bought in bit of a state with the intention of using as a commuter but that never really happened. Just put functional parts on it to get it going (and gave it a smattering of purple ano!). Fairly tatty but nothing major (prob looks better in pics that in the flesh). Worth mentioning:

- gave her a full new set of brake/gear cables
- two new IRC Mythos tyres
- X-Lite stubby bar ends
- Original P2 forks
- Original Velocity stem
- GT lock on grips
- Exage chainset and front mech (think rear is Alivio but sticker has fallen off)
- DMR V8 pedals
- Titec 'T41 Enduro' flat bar
- Avid brake levers (canti's on front, Avid V-brake on rear)
- Deore thumbies
- C to C 16'
- C to T 19'

Rear has a puncture at the moment, cheapo wheels off an old Claude Butler. Think that's about it.

Will not split/post, just wanna get rid of to someone local if poss. £75 picked up - Croydon, Surrey area.

Other bits to follow...

RS Revs

RS Revelation 426 Dual Air (2006 model), 195mm steerer, a few chips to paint on lowers, everything seems to function as it should. Never serviced but only used for 20 odd trips round Bedgebury over the two summers and a bit of road use. One small spot/scratch midway up one stanchion - only noticed it when cleaning them to take pics. Great forks, never given me a problem.

I'm interested in the Fire Mountain, depending on it's size, I live Peckham way so could you meet at East Croydon rail, if I were to buy it?

Cheers,
Tom

Can meet at East Croydon no probs. Sizing is 16' from center off BB to top tube and 19' from BB to top of seat tube. Let me know if you need any other measurements...

Cheers, Andrew

That's really far too sweet to be branded a hack - it's lovely!

Sure it'll find a loving home in no time! (I'm nothing like local, sadly)

No worries stanton.

Well thanks elpedro, but the photo's are a little kind on it!

RS Revs provisionally sold :D
