One of my pals is selling his Orange Prestige. Remember when he bought his new back in 1992

He'd like £300. collection only from Bristol and isn't looking to split currently.

Orange Prestige. 17" frame and fork (tbc)
XT headste
Titec bars
ss7 levers
Deore2 thumbies
xt cantis
bullseye hubs on mavic 231
XT mechs
USE post
Flite
DX spuds
middleburn cranks (and rings I think).

Might be interested in the Frame and Forks if he wanted to split, although the full bike price seems a tad heavy.

Sorry - assumed it was okay to haggle if I was interested. If I believe it's a bit pricey then I'm reflecting where my offer might sit if he was looking to split the frame and forks. :?

Still, just as well he isn't looking to split as my interest has just waned. Ah well.

This discussion has been done to death. If you want to haggle or put forward an offer do so. The pricing on retro stuff is so subjective comments like "the price is a tad heavy" don't help. FWIW think the price is ok considering the level of components.

As mentioned in the first post he isn't looking to split and is after collection.

Wasn't looking to buy a complete bike and maybe I'm missing the 'Not splitting' comments.

Anyway, the conversation is irrelevant. I'm not after a complete bike and I'm not near Bristol.

I've certainly seen (and been on the receiving end) of worse comments than that! Maybe we should just put it down to moderators perogative.

Actually, for that frame and with MIddleburn cranks, plus the other spec'd stuff, I think the price is very fair.

I'm just glad it's too small for me!

Good grief.

As Nic says the price isn't bad.

Could the lads with sub 30 posts read the classified guidelines. If you want to add comments to peoples adverts that is what singletrackworld is for.....
