Thanks for your honesty Mark and, like I said £320 was a reasonable price and in keepng with what they go for elsewhere...maybe it was wrong of me to enquire.

I was surprised to find other people getting involved and being abusive though and it's not what I expected here on Retrobike.
I don't consider my words abusive...
However, you seem to be making a habit of commenting on other people's asking prices, in total contravention of the rules. It really is none of your business what other people ask for their surplus tat, so keep yer snout out!

So calling someone on here you don't know a cock isn't abusive????

Now with age I have gained a lot of patience for idiots....you're testing it.

You weren't selling the forks so to be be brutally honest is has nothing to do with you either.

Thanks, again for your time

No , it wasn't abusive, it was a term of endearment.

Definition no2 of "Cock":

Though you're rapidly going off piste...

suberb has the point here Neil to be fair, asking what someone has paid for it is just daft and infers a deeper motive for asking the question.
Either you are interested in buying the item or you are not.
Walk away or make an offer.

Um, not really

He wasn't selling them so why should it matter to him what questions I asked ?

I've apologised to the seller and that is cleared up, the issue I have is people stepping in and making it their business to get involved in an issue which has nothing to do with them and being rude whilst going about it.

I think it's time to put this thread to bed

Commenting on prices is strictly (brutally?) against forum rules. You have broken them here, in my "For Sale " threads, and, doubtless, many others. That is all our business, unless you believe, for some reason, the rules do not apply to yourself? Over to you, Cock...
