As I said in an earlier post, I wasn't referring to anyone on here when I made the comment. Please take the time to read properly before commenting.

As far as the pricing goes. I think that a fork with £300 worth of damper upgrades alone is definitely worth a £420 asking price. As it is, the buyer got themselves a bargain.

My dropping the price had nothing to do with your comment, Neil.

The forks were easily worth £420 as I'd looked at listings on other websites for similar forks, and based my original asking price on this. I took into consideration the fact that these are, internally, the same as 2011 forks and have the £300 FIT upgrade to back this up.

I reduced my asking price as in all honesty I preferred a quick sale and dropping the price as I did ensured that I got it. Interestingly enough, I've had 6 people contact me since I sold them which just goes to suggest that I was selling them for less than they were worth, regardless of what anyone seems to think.

Hope that's cleared things up a bit.

You don't ask a bike shop how much they paid for their gear - why is this any different. How much I paid for them is completely irrelevant so long as the amount I'm selling them for is fair.

I was surprised to find other people getting involved and being abusive though and it's not what I expected here on Retrobike.
