To be fair, he did make a bit more effort with the Ebay pics, instead of the cruffy old bit of tat above.
I suppose needing to prove a point to a bunch of know it alls who don't know gold when they see it is just as precious as money.

But for me selling and buying stuff on RB is a bit more than about money. For me it s about selling at a fair price, talking the advice of peers on this site and most importantly, making sure someone on this site makes good use of my item.I don't expect them to keep it for life, but equally i don't expect them to turn a significant or quick t profit at my expence

Roberto, I came on here for one reason and one reason only. To try and sell an item that someone made clear to me was older and rarer than I thought it was. He recommended this forum by name. I didn't come here to make a quick buck and not to generate some income for my trading business. It'd have been far easier to have stuck it on Ebay for £40 and flogged it in minutes.
i've got 4 MTB's at home, love the sport and am active in both riding and trailbuilding. I didn't expect to be slagged off for admittedly poor effort with the first photo, a crap colour (lot on here selling purple - is that so different) and asking a price that was recommended to be my someone who clearly knew what he was talking about and to whom I'm very
grateful.
I don't see the problem at all. Seller is happy. Buyer at the other side of the world is delighted as he got what he couldn't find. Only ones unahppy are the ones making judgements about what is fair and what is not.
Anyway, I'm outta here. Off to somewhere less hormonal.
