Original Merckx/Molteni orange enamel paint is very faded and patchy where the cheapo vinyl decals have been removed, but the very nice ('designed by Ernie Clements') metal headtube badge is intact.
Generally good condition if you like some 'patina': plenty of small chips & scratches with inevitable surface rust in places, and some loss of paint under BB shell. Just a couple of * very* small dinks to top & down tubes - hardly noticeable.
Other than mudguard eyelets (& lamp boss on fork leg) there are no braze-ons whatsoever, so unless you want the trendy fixed-gear 'clean' look you may have to add mech hanger, clip-on cable guides, bottle cage mounts etc. Will also need dee-eep drop brakes if you want to run 700c wheels.
Headset seems fine - freshly cleaned up & greased. The (Shimano) bottom bracket could do with an overhaul though, it's 'crunchy peanut butter' smooth.

Frame/Forks/Headset/BB = £25 collected from Portishead/Bristol, or £35 with Raleigh stem/bars, Dia-Compe suicide levers & Weinmann brakes as pictured (no cables).

I don't really want to post, but might be persuaded (at cost) if you're happy to wait for me to get round to it.

Wheels & seatpost are for geom illustration only and aren't available.

well it was definitely badged as a Falcon, but (unless someone knows otherwise) I reckon it's the same frame (and the same colour) as the Merckx-branded 'Supporter' model of the time.

Somewhere I've got a multiple page advert for all the Falcon 'Merckx's'. I'll have to get it scanned and posted on the Catalogue section.

Still in sale?

hello, welcome and thanks for your interest.
this frame wasn't sold, but I built it up for a friend to use over the summer. I should be getting it back sometime next month; it may get stripped and offered up again here. If so you've certainly got first refusal.

Just noticed you're in Italy though - to be honest I don't think shipping that far would make much sense :?

Hi,

I am in bristol and interested in this.
Do get in contact when you get the frame back.

Cheers

I would be interested in this, and I'm in the kent area. Depending on if you still have the frame and where you are... i would be after the bars etc too.
Thanks,
Luke
