FS Campagnolo 8sp Chorus 135mm with Mavic Open SUP wheelset

I've got a very rare and extremely nice set of Campagnolo Chorus (I believe, though they might be record) 8speed hubs built up on Mavic Open SUP rims. Rare, because the rear hub has a 135mm axle! 32h front, 36h rear. With original campy skewers

The hubs are in super condition. They date from c. 1996 and have the grease port with clips in place. I recently serviced the bearings (cleaned, repacked with grease) and freehub and they're perfect and run super smooth.

The front wheel is perfect. I rebuilt it about 500 miles ago, and the rim (Mavic Open SUP CD) is just starting to wear off the anodising. The rear wheel is in need of a rebuild - I popped a couple of spokes (the guy who originally built it had undertensioned it), which I've replaced, but it needs a full rebuild with new spokes for complete confidence in it and also the nipples have seized on a couple of the original spokes, so achieving good tension is impossible without a rebuild.

I build wheels - while not a professional, I've built wheelsets for myself and friends, everything from a heavy duty touring sets right through to 20 spoke carbon deep sections! I'm an engineer and a slight perfectionist, so I know the quality of my wheels is extremely high, because I spend the extra time to get the build right (using a tension meter too). So, if you're interested in these wheels, I'm happy to offer to rebuild the rear before sending it; otherwise sold as is (in the knowledge also that someone might like to make a classic MTB wheelset off this, thus new rims might be the order of the day!).

Looking for £250 as they are, or £285 with the rear rebuilt with new Sapim spokes.

Please get in touch for pictures or more info. Thanks!

I also have 2 8sp campag cassettes that I can do a deal on with the wheels - Record 12-25 and Veloce 13-26. I'm not looking to sell these separately for now.

Open to offers for the wheels.
