Long time lurker, short time poster here!
Built this up recently and Ive ridden it once and Very unlikely to ride it again.
1996 Kona Lava Dome Frame stripped and immaculately repainted white
On One Rigid Steel Forks painted to match ( the right length too!)
FSA XL2 Brand new headset
Truvativ Team Stem 100mm
Bontrager/Titec Titanium Bars
New Alloy seatpost (not very fancy)
Orange Ti Flite saddle
M952 XTR Rear mech SS
M952 XTR Shifters
XT V Levers
Avid BB7 Front brake
M960 XTR Rear V Brake Brand new
Sram Cassette and Chain ( Brand new)
M770 XT HT2 Cranks
Wheels are "interesting"
Vuelta Deep Section Orange Rims with a bonty disc front hub and old school LX Rear hub ( both recently serviced with new bearings, new freehub body)
Bonty Mud X Tyres
Bike is 24.5 lbs roughly.
I have a couple of pics at the min pre build (no cranks)
Frame has no rust AT ALL. In fact its like brand new with its paint job about a month ago. Been ridden off road once and was lovely. The Hifi 29er is back now and Ive not even looked at the kona.
Its an 18"
Its literally just been built and ridden once so all new cables throughout, everything sweet as a nut.
