Up for sale is my 1995 Lava Dome frame set with a few extras as described below.
This frame and forks ware professionally powdercoated by Triple S in Bingley, Yorkshire in October 2010, at a cost of around £75. Gil_M's decals are applied but not clear-coated. Before the respray I heretically had a rear brake cable stop brazed on by Woodrups in Leeds, so the frame can now run V brakes without frame adapters if desired...
Frame is 19" centre to top. The forks are the original 1 1/8th threaded, triple-butted P2s, power coated in gloss black.
The frame has seen little use since the respray and I am looking to dispose of it as another project is looming. The frame and forks are in excellent condition with no dents, no obvious paint chips and really just superficial signs of use.
Included with the frame are a wheel set comprising a well-used Mavic 231CD grey anodised rim on a silver eight-speed LX hub and a slightly less used grey anodised Mavic X517 rim on a blue/grey LX front hub. Both are true and in good running and reasonable aesthetic condition with skewers, rim tape, inner tubes and a pair of lightweight Michelin XC AT kevlar-beaded tyres with no more than 300 miles on them.
Also included is a cheap Shimano HG50 8 speed cassette with only around 100 miles use, an as-new Ritchey 27.0mm "Comp" seat post", seat-collar, bottom bracket with around 200 miles' use and a Tange Passage headset - which could do with a re-grease and readjustment.
